1. Assessments before a cycle of treatment
|
|
This is a vital stage which tends to be ignored. It is a fact that many of the women referred to IVF may possibly benefit from other treatment.
Before we commence actual IVF, we invariably run a number of
tests, as sperm counts, blood and other tests to confirm that
you have a chance of success. In some cases we will give you
drugs to make you ovulate (shed an egg from the ovary) just
so that we can assess your response to these drugs well before
an actual treatment cycle.
This enables us to tailor your treatment in a way to suit your individual needs. We also try, when feasible, to offer effective (alternative) treatments before we embark on IVF.
