Dr Stathis Nikolaropoulos BSc, PhD, is a biologist trained
in tissue and embryo culture and IVF in Norfolk, Virginia and
Chicago, Illinois, USA. He has a keen interest in male infertility
and in "in vitro" maturation of immature gametes.
Dr Elena Kontogianni BSc, PhD, is an Embryologist-Geneticist specialised in infertility and preimplantation molecular genetics. At Hammersmith Hospital, she performed the first in the world Preimplantation Diagnosis . She was trained in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility, including Assisted Reproduction Technology, at the Hammersmith Hospital and the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children, London, UK.
Dr. Kontogianni is also a pioneer in new methods for infertility treatment as TESE/MESA.
She is actively working on Preimplantation Diagnosis for chromosomal abnormalities and â-thalassaemia and was awarded the Greek Medical Association prize in 2001 and in 2004 for her research. She is the manager for this site and the ESHRE Reproductive Genetics site.
Dr. Kontogianni is a member of the British Fertility Society, ESHRE and co-author in many books, including "Medical Genetics" (2003), "Breast Cancer Genetics" (2004), "Cancer Genetics" (2004), "Urological Oncology" (2005).
Dr Jacob Soussis MD, MSc, MRCOG, is a consultant obstetrician-gynaecologist. He was trained extensively in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility, including Assisted Reproduction Technology, at the Hammersmith Hospital, London, UK. He is a member of the British Fertility Society and the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists.
Dr Thanasis Gougoulakis MD, is an obstetrician-gynaecologist with a keen interest in IVF. He was trained in infertility, IVF and Assisted Reproductive Technology at Hammersmith Hospital, London University.
Dr Andreas Bazeos MD, MRCOG, is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist
specialised in subfertility and endoscopic (keyhole) surgery.
He trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Great Britain. He
became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists
(M.R.C.O.G) in 1996 following an exam. He specialised in Reproductive
Medicine and endoscopic surgery at St Bartholomew's and Royal
London Hospital. He was accredited by the British Society of
Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP) and he was awarded
the Novo Nordisk Prize in London in 1995 for his research project.
He has been a member of our team since August 1999.
